Turnover Rate (TOV%)
Turnovers committed per 100 plays used. Measures ball security.
Full Definition
Turnover Rate estimates the percentage of a player's possessions that end in a turnover. For assists prop betting, turnover rate matters because high-turnover players may have inflated assist numbers in box scores but lose possessions that could have been assists. For team totals, high-turnover teams produce fewer total scoring opportunities. Players with low TOV% and high AST% are the most reliable assists prop targets.
What's a good Turnover Rate?
Below 10% is excellent ball security, 10-14% is average, 14-18% is high, above 18% is turnover-prone.
