Pace
The number of possessions a team uses per 48 minutes. Higher pace means more scoring opportunities.
Full Definition
Pace measures how fast a team plays by estimating their number of possessions per 48 minutes. High-pace teams push the ball in transition, take quick shots, and create more total scoring opportunities for all players on the floor. This is critical for prop betting because a game between two high-pace teams (100+ possessions each) will produce significantly more stats across the board compared to a slow-paced grind. Always check the pace matchup before setting prop expectations.
What's a good Pace?
Above 102 is fast-paced, 98-102 is average, below 96 is slow. League average is ~100.
