Over/Under (Totals)
A bet on whether a stat total will be higher (over) or lower (under) than the sportsbook's set line.
Full Definition
Over/Under bets (totals) set a line for a statistical outcome, and you wager whether the actual result will be over or under that number. This applies to game totals (total points/runs scored) and player props (over/under 22.5 points for a player). Totals are the core of prop betting. The key is comparing the line against your projection — if you project a player for 27 points and the line is 22.5, the over has value. Weather, pace, defense, and matchup data all factor into projections.
What's a good Over/Under?
Look for 3+ point gaps between your projection and the line for the strongest edges.
