Assist Rate estimates the percentage of teammate made field goals that a player assisted while on the court. A high AST% indicates a player who creates for others, which is important for assists props. Point guards typically have the highest assist rates, but some forwards like LeBron James or Nikola Jokic also post elite numbers. When evaluating assists props, consider both AST% and pace — a high-paced game gives more assist opportunities.
